During this semester, I have learned many new things that I have not known before but I still have many things to learn, many things to change, especially those bad habits like: lazy, didn't work hard.

This was my first time living far from home for so long time. Because of that, I had to learn to be more independent. I had to take care of myself and to do almost all the housework. I thought this was a very good experience for me, because I had to learn to be independent some day, so why not learned early when I still a student? Nevertheless it wasn't that smoothly, because live with strangers still want some time to get with it, however, every things are perfect now.

After this semester, I hope I could become more mature, I also wish the next semester would be more wonderful, and I would make it come true.

The looks into the future.

What are my looks into the future of the year2008?

I think the first of all is to change my attitude of learning, to be more active, more earnest, and more absorbed. That's the important thing I have to do, and I hope I can achieve it. The second is to use and control time well, because I lost many time in plating and idling, so I have to change this bad habit into a good one. Then, I have to change my bad temper, because I am a little fractious, impetuous, and impatient, so I have to change it back, too.

There are also many thing for me to do in the future year, I wish I could achieve all of them. Japan was a little different from others, they also had celebration like other countries but they had a very unique ceremony: a ceremony at their temple, people would knock the bell for good luck.

People in London, England also had a celebration with sparkler, it was wonderful, too.

The last was the celebration at Times Square in New York, U.S.A, it was the oldest celebration which had 100 years old, it can represent all the celebration around the world, I think if I could, I would go to there to join the celebration once.

what Christmas means to me

Christmas means different to everyone, some think it is just a holiday, some think it is a party day, so what Christmas means to me? I think it is a day for reunion with family or friends, for me it is a day for us staying with people we love.

The reason for Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, so it is a birthday celebration for him, to celebrate a saint’s birthday, a man brings love and hope to humanity. So I think it is a day for love, for people we love. That is why I think this is a day for family or friends’ reunion. Not a day for carousal, or parties. I like to spend this day with my family or friends, we will have a good meal and sharing some funny or interesting together. That is what Christmas means to me, sharing love with family or friends.

Christmas songs

Every year, when the Christmas was coming, I could hear many Christmas songs in many places. Especially after a very busy day, some ballads will make me feel relaxed and more comfortable. I think music can recharge me, make me vitally to face another busy day.

Music also can make me release those bad moods which are deep in my heart. When I was in a bad mood, like missing home very much, I would listening some music singing about going home or missing home, although someone said that might make me feel worse, I thought that would make me release my bad moods, and after listening music I would feel better.

Sometimes when I am in the singer’s moods, I would finally realize what he or she is singing about. Before that, what I know was very apparent, but when I was in the singing’s moods I would be touched deeply in side my heart. It dose not as famous as Jadeite Cabbage or Meat-shaped Stone but I think it is the most beautiful masterpiece in National Palace Museum.

There is a legend that an emperor said to his liegeman about the most wonderful color of the glaze “the color of glaze should be as the sky after the rain stops and the clouds have broken through ” (雨過天青雲破處，者般顏色作將來). I think the Ju Ware Narcissus Basin’s color is conform to what the emperor had described because the Ju Ware Narcissus Basin’s color is so like the color of sky after rains, and there is no any cracks on it, so level and smooth, so glassy it is！

In ancient China, there is four principles to described a perfect china “ as blue as the sky, as bright as the mirror, and as thin as the paper.” I think the Ju Ware Narcissus Basin matches all the principles, so I think it is the best china in the world, that is way I like it so much.

A visit to National Palace Museum

Yesterday, November 24, I went to National Palace Museum（故宮博物院）with my classmates. Because we have to do our Chinese homework so we went to the museum at 9:00 A.M.

When we arrived the museum, there were already had a lot of foreign tourists, most of them come form Japan, they usually speak softly to each others, some tourists are from Korea, they talk in a little loud volume, some are from China, they usually speak in a very loud voice, I thought it was very bad because that would made the museum into a market. Expect Japanese, Korean, and Chinese, we also saw some French and English, we discovered that we, Taiwanese, were less than those foreigners, we were wondering that National Palace Museum is a museum in our country, or in foreign country. I thought we should spend more time to visit this museum because those things in the museum, are our above price treasure, we should be more concentrate on them.

After a half day visiting, we saw many beautiful artworks, each of them were time-tested, I think the fad would quickly passed away, but the authentic treasure would still beautiful even thousand years later. Most of exhibits would collections from the royal family, some of them even were appreciated by emperors, it was hard to believe that exhibits in front of you were in front of many emperors centenaries ago, and it was a sigh that things change with the passing of years but those artworks never change. Those refulgent dynasties and great people were no longer exist, but their masterpieces were pass down for thousands of years. I like to visit museum because those artwork stand the time-tested, that attract me more than those fad

The midterm week

The past one week, from November 12 to November 20 was the midterm week of my school. The first day, November 12, I had a Calculus exam, actually I did not work hard on it, I knew the result would not be good, and I should work harder on it. The next was the Economics exam on the Wednesday afternoon, I thought it would be better than my Calculus exam but I should work harder on it, too. The third one was my English Listening exam, and this I thought I would had a good result on it but I did not finished it so I should notice on my speed of answering questions, and do not wasting time. The forth was my Chinese exam, I thought it was the best one, because I wrote many, I wished I could get a good result on it. The next one was my Accounting exam on the next Tuesday, November 20, it was the most important one, and I thought it was also the hardest one, and the one I spent the most time on, I thought the result was not very good but I would not give up, I would practice more and wish the next time would have a good result. The final one was my Outline of Civil Code exam, teacher mentioned almost every question in the test but I still miss it, so I should be more concentrate on the class. After all exams were past, I thought I was tired to dead, some of my classmate were went to shopping but I just want to sleep in my nice and warm bed. I thought these exams let me know that I should work harder and practice more on every course. I wish the next time I was apoise to them, and I also wish I would have good results one every one of them.

The experience of taking Taiwan High Speed Rail(台灣高鐵)

After a three days happy vacation in Kaohsiung, I carried my baggage which full of happiness, started to go back to Taipei. Unlike going to Kaohsiung, I took the Taiwan High Speed Rail back to Taipei. After a 20 minutes drive, I arrived at their concourse, I thought that was pretty and handsomely but their ticket is strange, because I had to put its reverse side into the machine, that was different from others. At 17:36 the train started on time, even though it was dark out I could still saw the buildings past quickly, the car was bright and clean, it made me felt very comfortable. The chair was not very big but still made me fall asleep. Just a 90 minutes later I arrived at Banciao station(板橋車站), to compare with bus and train, which took more the 4 0r 5 hours, the Taiwan High Speed Rail is much faster, and it do not made people felt uncomfortable, but the price was too expensive, it cost 1460NT form Zuoying(左營) to Banciao, but I thought it was feasible, because for someone time is money. Had this good experience, I thought I would take the Taiwan High Speed Rail again, but maybe the next time I went back to Kaohsiung, I would take an airplane, because it is on a discount now, it is cheaper and faster than the Taiwan High Speed Rail, so maybe I could take it the next time.

Going home

Last Friday (November 16) I went back to Kaohsiung, my sweet home. I took Ubus (統聯客運), and after a 5 hour vacillating and staggering drive, I finally arrived Kaohsiung, my yearning hometown. Beyond my expectations, Kaohsiung was still in summer, unlike Taipei, where is in autumn, Kaohsiung has 24 degrees at night, in the afternoon it was so hot that we still open the air conditioner, and everyone in there wear summer clothing, it was so different from people in Taipei. The greatest thing was I get home, I saw my father and my younger brother, although we fought almost everyday when I was not enter university but I really missed him. The second greatest thing was I could watch TV, because TV programs in the dorm usually is not what I want, so back home and watching programs I like was really an enjoyment to me. After go to Taipei for studying the university, I discover that I love Kaohsiung more than other cities because it is my hometown and the most familiar place to me. I can not wait the next time going back to Kaohsiung.

Suggest ways to enjoy life more.

1. It starts in activities of daily livings. First is to reduce the dilapidation of natural resources like: using bags you prepared, not plastic bags, using paper in both sides not just in one side, and prepared tableware yourself do not use those bamboo chopsticks and plastic spoons they harm the environment.
Second is to recycle those things we can use to make other things, like: paper, plastic bottles, can or glass. Or things that are deleterious to our environment, like: batteries or fluorescent tubes. These will made the life of dumps and incinerators.
Third is reducing pollutions we made, by walk or use public transportation systems is better than driving your personal vehicles. The last Saturday I saw a program introduced a department planted some plants on there roof, so that they did not use air conditioning in summer. That is a wonderful idea to the environmental protection. Using more green plants and running water can cool down the degree indoors, it can both saving electricity and protecting our environment, and also saving money because air conditioners cost a lot. Green plants and running water can also made the environment more beautiful.
These are some ways to make our environment more beautiful. I think it is a very good way to introduce this painting more clearly to viewers. It is a painting about the birth of Jesus Christ, called （Adoration of Shepherds【牧羊人朝拜聖嬰】）, the painter is Luca Giordano（路卡˙喬丹奴）.
For the thousand years the stories of the Bible were very good subjects for artists. The artists in different ages had different styles, Luca Giordano kept the main point on the change of light, so he put a light from the top of the sky to the mother and the baby, it made the viewers saw them in the first sight. All the people and animals surround by the baby and the mother made them looked holy and inviolable. In this exhibition, tell us almost every things about this painting, I thought it was better than display many painting in one exhibition because viewers can learn more deeply about this painting, not just think these paintings are beautiful.

11/1 A day at Museum Of Wold Religons

10:00AM I arrive at the Museum Of World Religions（世界宗教博物館）, it is the only one religions museum in the world.
