The Ju Ware Narcissus Basin(汝窯天青無紋橢圓水仙盆)

In all the displays of National Palace Museum, I like Ju Ware Narcissus Basin(汝窯天青無紋橢圓水仙盆) the most. It dose not as famous as Jadeite Cabbage or Meat-shaped Stone but I think it is the most beautiful masterpiece in National Palace Museum.

There is a legend that an emperor said to his liegeman about the most wonderful color of the glaze “the color of glaze should be as the sky after the rain stops and the clouds have broken through ” (雨過天青雲破處,者般顏色作將來). I think the Ju Ware Narcissus Basin’s color is conform to what the emperor had described because the Ju Ware Narcissus Basin’s color is so like the color of sky after rains, and there is no any cracks on it, so level and smooth, so glassy it is!

In ancient China, there is four principles to described a perfect china “ as blue as the sky, as bright as the mirror, and as thin as the paper.” I think the Ju Ware Narcissus Basin matches all the principles, so I think it is the best china in the world, that is way I like it so much
